Mechanical Fitter

Salary: £26,400 per year

Our client is a long-established global company supplying specialist security products for various organisations worldwide.

They are currently seeking a Mechanical fitter to join their busy team at their modern assembly site near Biddulph.

The main purpose of the role is to assemble and build various mechanical sub-assemblies to contribute to the production of the finished complex machine.

Responsibilities

• Interpret mechanical drawings and follow the instructions of the team leader both verbally and written
• Apply relevant mechanical skills and experience to carry out tasks as required
• Use of hand tools, including grinders, drills, saws etc
• Ensure all health & safety procedures are followed

Requirements

• Ideally time served apprentice in mechanical or similar discipline but not essential
• Forklift licence and overhead crane operator and slinging qualifications would be an advantage but not essential
