Mechanical & Electrical Estimator

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experience Mechanical Estimator & Electrical Estimator to join my clients well established M&E Building Services organisation.

The company offers a reliable and competitive service across a wide spectrum of building service installations.

The company is capable of taking initial concepts through the design stage, onward to installation, commissioning, handover to the client and finally providing support through training and familiarisation.

The company operates throughout the United Kingdom and has successfully undertaken major projects nationwide. Their core business is based on an established repeat business chain for a multitude of ‘blue-chip’ UK companies.

The company undertake works within the Retail, Commercial, Distribution, Accommodation, Industrial and PFS sectors.

The Mechanical & Electrical Estimator role:

> The role is predominantly office based: Monday to Friday 8:30 to 6pm
> Review tender documents to determine scope of work and prepare estimates
> Work with and review subcontractors quotes for the outlined scope of work, costs etc.
> Negotiate and work with suppliers for material costs and availability
> Ability to ready Mechanical/Electrical project diagrams, drawings and specifications and perform cost analysis estimations for profitable projects
> Ability to meet project deadlines for estimates/tenders

Mechanical & Electrical Estimator Qualifications:

> 5 or more years experience in M&E Estimating
> Qualified in Engineering or Equiv.
> Knowledgeable in Project Management
> Proficient in Microsoft Office
> Experience with AutoCAD
> Strong Communication Skills are essential
