Mechanical Design Engineer

Salary: £38,400 – £42,000 per year

We are recruiting for a experienced Mechanical Design Engineer for a client in the Worksop area.

The role is working Monday to Friday and is fully office based.

You will be joining a growing manufacturing company that enjoys a fantastic reputation for quality within their field.

The role objectives will be: 

• To create designs from initial concept stage through to finalised production

• Generating mechanical parts, assemblies and detailed engineering drawings

• Modifying existing product designs

Responsibilities will include:

• Creating 3D models and 2D drawings using Solidworks

• Creating and maintaining BOM structures

• Reviewing engineering deliverables and initiate appropriate corrective actions

• Interaction with other team members and customers to interpret their needs and requirements

• Provide engineering support for production activities as and when required.

Qualifications and experience will include:

• Minimum HNC in a related engineering discipline and/or significant experience in a design engineering role

• Time management and good organisation skills

• Proficient in the use of Solidworks

• Proficient in Microsoft Office

• Experience of NPI processes from design to production release

• Experience of DFMEA an advantage

• Experience in coachbuilding or vehicle bodybuilding industries an advantage

• Ability to work with multiple discipline projects

• Experience of MRP systems an advantage

Salary £38,400 – £42,000DOE
