Mechanical Construction Engineer

Salary: £48,000 – £72,000 per year

Working for a major tier one contractor on the Thames Tideway Tunnel project, I am looking for a Mechanical Construction Engineer to aid in the delivery of Mechanical permanent works in Eastern part of the Tideway Tunnel.

The work will involve providing a transfer tunnel and sewage storage to reduce sewage discharge overflows into the River Thames.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience of delivering complex construction projects in the water industry.

Although the role offers hybrid working, the majority of the work is site and office based in East London.

Ideal Candidate:

• Competent in the planning and delivery of mechanical works to ensure the highest of standards of the quality of the project, whilst ensuing safety
• Experience in the management of mechanical subcontractors to ensure the project is within cost constrains and meets project design requirements
• Capable of engaging with clients and end users
• NEC 3 Contract Experience
• of working with BIM and 3D Models, or a will to learn and implement BIM methods
• Commissioning experience would also be ideal
