Mechanical Assembler – Cambridge

Key Responsibilities:

In addition to producing goods to a high standard and to planned schedules you will be expected to help identify opportunities to improve processes, product quality and production output. Training will be given in order to undertake these duties to the required standards. The responsibilities associated with this position may change as manufacturing and production processes develop and new products are introduced, therefore a willingness to take part in continual training and development is essential.

Required Knowledge & Skills

Previous work in a manufacturing assembly environment using a variety of hand tools

The ability to use various types of measuring tools and gauging equipment

Strong ability to work with components as small as 3mm

Able to interpret mechanical drawings and follow written instructions

Good numeracy and literacy skills (both verbal and written)

Able to work unsupervised or as part of a team
Other skills that would be advantageous for this position (though not critical)

A Mechanical Engineering qualification

Soldering skills

Experience in instrument assembly or assembly of fine tolerance electro-mechanical products
