M&E Shift Engineer – Cardiff +

One of the leading Facilities Management and Building Maintenance companies are currently looking for a Resident M&E Shift Engineer to join them on a Government contract in the Swansea area.

Working with a company that are renowned for career progression this is a role which will turn into a supervisor role within 6 -9 months of joining.

The role is working on a unique shift pattern which consists of;

– 4 days AM shift – 6am -6pm
– 4 days off
– 4 days PM shift – 6pm – 6am
– 4 days off
.

You will be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance, reactive works to all building plant, equipment and systems in accordance with agreed service levels and respond to site engineering emergencies.
You will also undertake small installation works, repairs to building fabrics and general handyman duties.

Candidates applying should have the following knowledge and qualifications –

City & Guilds in Electrical Installation.
17th Edition IEE Regs
City & Guilds 2391 inspection and test would be desirable

Excellent knowledge of the operation of Mechanical & Electrical Services and plant.

Ability to interrogate and operate BMS’s systems
Knowledge of Fire Alarm Systems, Generators, Electrical Services,
HV, AC and Water Systems Treatment.
Knowledge of business critical services i.e. UPS, server rooms and Comms Rooms etc.
