Marketing Manager

Salary: £36,000 – £48,000 per year

If you are an experienced Marketing Manager who enjoys being in the driving seat when taking a brand and building it better, then this job could be just up your street.

The company is in a niche market sector and whilst they do have competition, it isn’t fierce and brutal competition. They have two brands, one is pretty self-sufficient and ticks over nicely so will need less of your time.

The other brand is the one that your main focus is needed on as there are many vertical markets and a lot of business opportunity that is both available already and still waiting to be found.

Ultimately the aim to maintain the position as market leader in their field, through on-going marketing efforts so your input, ideas and strategies for success are vital.

Whilst there is admin support, it is pretty much a stand-alone role so if you’re looking for a marketing team to manage then this may not be the role for you. Of course, if your efforts reap plentiful business opportunity then that may well change down the line.

The business has been around for over 20 years. The team all get on well with no prima donnas and management have a ‘we’re all in it together’ approach and look after the staff well.

It’s a small but perfectly formed company, with lovely offices, good transport links, a loyal client base and is both Investors in People and Customer Service Excellence certified.

Main duties to include:

* Develop a rolling marketing plan covering all marketing activity associated with the company’s key products and services

* Grow organic website traffic

* Manage marketing scheduling system

* Instigate and assist with ideas and projects to promote the brand to new business sectors using direct mail, email, social media, web, exhibitions, seminars, knowledge bases, briefings

* Liaise with the management team to develop briefs for literature and other marketing assets

* Support company’s SEO, SEM, PPC, PR, Content optimisation, blog and Vlog activities

* Assist in researching new markets in conjunction with the management team

* Produce design briefs and write/edit copy to produce literature, for example case studies and leaflets

* Liaise with outside designers/freelancers to create new material for the Company’s own use

* Liaise with external SEO, internet marketing and web providers to ensure company websites are current, newsworthy and are updated when and where required

* Develop and produce marketing literature for exhibitions and arrange mailshot contact for pre and post exhibition awareness and follow-up

* Research additional exhibition opportunities for relevant service offering

As you can see, we really need someone who has all-round experience in Marketing to help further develop the company’s profile.

Your experience in a standalone marketing role is key, along with your capabilities and understanding of online and offline marketing and marketing strategies.

As mentioned earlier, having achieved Investors in People (IIP) and Customer Service Excellence (CSE) awards as well as ISO9001 & ISO27001, you can see that this company is serious about providing a quality service both internally and externally.

What we really need is someone who consistently has the overall aim of enhancing both the brand and the existing customers journey, whilst achieving profit growth based upon agreed targets.

* £35k-£45k dependant on experience
