Job Specification

Our client has a summer intern position (approximately June to September) to assist with their marketing function. Working as part of a small team, you should have good marketing knowledge and be able to see tasks through from beginning to completion.

You will be a ‘hands-on’ team member committed and responsible for delivering an excellent service. You should demonstrate initiative, be approachable and able to work with technical and business colleagues and customers.

This is a full time position, 37 hours per week, Monday 8.00am to Thursday 4.45pm and 8.00am to 12.00pm on Friday.

Principle responsibilities and duties include:
· Organisation of trade shows
· Design and delivery of mail shots and customer information sheets
· Maintenance of customer marketing database with relevant details
· Market research in relevant business sectors
· Responsibility for internal marketing communications and newsletters
· General administration for the marketing team

Skills, Qualifications and Experience
– Technical/engineering background preferred
– Marketing experience with good knowledge of marketing principles
– Excellent written and spoken English
– Strong IT and administrative skills
– Ability to take direction and work dynamically with a small team of people
– Full UK Driving licence holder

Salary
– £26,000 per year – pro-rata for the months worked
– Summer intern placement (Approx. June – Sept)
