Marketing and Communications Assistant

Type: Fixed term contract for up to 12 months (likely to be extended dependant on funding until 2019)

Location: Chelmsford

Hours: Full time, 37 hours per week

Salary: £27,600 – £28,800p.a.

We are seeking a resilient candidate to work within our Marketing team in our Social Care department to recruit Therapeutic Foster Carers. You will be a quick learner and have the ability to engage with people on all levels. You will experience working in a marketing/communications/PR role. Ideally, you will have experience organising and managing events and a relevant qualification but this is desirable.

Role purpose

To lead and support the recruitment of Specialised Therapeutic Foster Carers through the organisation and running of tailor made events together with a wide range of other, multi stranded marketing initiatives.
Duties include:

* Promotion of events and marketing to recruit Therapeutic Foster Carers
* Managing social media accounts and reacting to media enquiries, responding to journalists etc.
* Writing press releases and copy as required
* Organising events/open days and assisting potential recruits with the initial application process
* Identify opportunity’s and selling the benefits of being a Foster Carer
