Market Research Assistant – 6 Month Contract

Our client works for the hospitality, passenger transport, travel and tourism industries. The organisation’s strategic aim is to transform skills and raise productivity across the sector.This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with previous relevant experience to join a vibrant team focusing on Research. You will support the overall work of the research team and contribute to the design and development of research products that are valued by employers in the sector. The Researcher will play a vital role in providing research support to meet ongoing support to employers and underpinning our policy activities.This role will require someone to be educated to degree level or possess the equivalent experience. They will need to have a track record of undertaking and communicating research projects, and a working knowledge of key data sets. The successful applicant will need to be able to manage projects to agreed timescales and budgets. They will need to possess applied knowledge of quantitative and qualitative research methodologies and have designed and implemented primary research activities before e.g. surveys, sampling, questionnaires and interview schedules. Candidates will need to have strong analytical skills using data from a variety of primary and secondary sources and be able to work with large volumes of data. They will also need to be proficient in the use of SPSS with strong report writing and presentation skills.
