Manufacturing Operative / Warehouse Operative

We are currently recruiting for a number of Manufacturing Operative / Production Operative / Warehouse Operative roles with a large scale, international manufacturing company based on the outskirts of Leeds.

These are temporary positions for a minimum of 10 weeks with the possibility of been extended for the right candidates.

The company work strictly to Lean principles of manufacturing so some experience of working in a Continuous Improvement environment would be an advantage.

The manufacturing / production / warehouse role will involve placing products into a machine and stacking onto pallets. You will be required to pick 2 products from a line and place onto a machine. This will need to be done around once every 10 seconds.

With the above in mind, we are ideally looking for someone with the following skills / experience –

Fast learner
Ability to work at a fast pace
Manual handling experience
RELIABLEThe job will be very repetative so experience in this kind of environment is essential. Someone from a food backgroud would be ideal as there will also be a high level of hygiene expected.

The manufacturing / production / warehouse role is on a continental shift pattern working on 12 hour rotating day and night shifts Monday – Sunday. Due to location and shift times candidates will require their own transport.

The hourly rate of pay is £26,000.
