Manufacturing Associate / Assembler

Salary: £26,000 per year

An opportunity has arisen for a Manufacturing Associate / Assembly to join a global Aerospace & Defence company at their site in Plymouth on a permanent basis:

At the Plymouth location, they design and manufacture sensor products for control, navigation, and guidance for surface and air applications in the global aerospace and defence markets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Working in accordance with standard operating instructions, engineering drawings, and product specifications
• Assembling and soldering pre-mounted PCB boards
• Soldering operations to involving soldering IPC J Standards
• Assembling the PCB boards into a mechanical housing
• Loading the products onto local test rigs and running tests

Key Skills:

• 12+ months of manufacturing assembly experience
• Excellent attention to detail
• Flexibility to work on the occasional weekend

Please note candidates selected for the interview will also be given a short soldering assembly exercise to complete that will enable you to try the kind of work the client does and for them to assess your trainability.
