Management/Project Accountant – Balfour Beatty Homes – Kettering

Balfour Beatty Homes has an exciting opportunity for a Management/Project Accountant to join our regional house building business as a national role based in Kettering (with occasional site visits)

Balfour Beatty Homes operate in the central belts of Scotland and England.

Continuously opening new developments throughout these geographical areas, managed from our two regional offices; Motherwell and Kettering.

Role Purpose

Providing the Senior Manager and Regional Directors with financial reports and analysis for the England and Scotland Region.

On a day-to-day basis you will:

• Assist in preparation of monthly managements accounts including profit and loss, balance sheet, cash flows, variance analysis.
• Project review reporting
• Stock and work in progress valuations
• Calculate month end accrual and prepayment journals.
• Prepare supporting data and relevant analysis to aid in decision making in an effective and timely manner
• Assist with the maintaining and update of the financial forecast model
• Issue monthly/ weekly cost reports to Sales Manager, Commercial and Business development teams
• Maintain consolidated rolling plot schedule
• Weekly & monthly cash reporting
• Weekly/Monthly reconciliation of all reservations, sales incentives, deposits and associated costs
• Assist with the population of Project on a Page templates and Life of Site reports
• Assist/prepare monthly rebate reconciliations and assist with obtaining the relevant information for making the rebate claim
• Assist with validation of plot completion statements
• Monitor Compliance with schemes such as Help to Buy/Deposit unlock

To join us in this role, you must demonstrate the following:

• Proficient in the use of Microsoft excel
• A confident individual, with an ability to form effective relationships within all levels of the organisation
• Previous experience within the housing industry
• Valid UK driving licence
• Finance background
