Management Accountant

Salary: £48,000 – £54,000 per year

Lloyd Recruitment Services are pleased to be working for a reputable organisation based near to Uckfield. There is currently a requirement for a Management Accountant to join their team on a full time permanent basis.

The role:

Assist the Head of Finance in managing day-to-day accounting and finance requirements. Confidentiality, excellent organisational skills, and accuracy are important for this position, as well as good supplier relations and the ability to communicate clearly.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:

Undertake and learn all tasks relating to the daily accounting functions including Payroll and Workplace Pensions
Supplier payments
Customer refunds
Prepare monthly management accounts
Responsible for accruals and prepayments
Cash flow forecasting
Reconcile intercompany transactions
Bank reconciliations
Daily transaction download – cross checking with bank/PayPal/credit card receipts
Ad-hoc financial reports as required
Identify key trends and recommend possible improvements
Assist in the investigation of new financial and payroll
Implement new credit card/charge card reporting and accounting
Assist in the smooth transition between existing bank to new bank
Check invoices, pricing and queries
Prepare and submit VAT returns
Have 3 direct reports
Help and advise team members, communication will be key
Taking reasonable care for own H&S and that of others who may be affected by what you do or do not do; and to work within H&S guidance
Ability to demonstrate, understand and apply our workplace values
Ad hoc tasks as reasonably requested by Senior Management

Essential skills and qualifications:

Charted Accountant qualification, CIMA qualified
Proven industry experience within a similar role
Must have experience managing a team within Accounts
Previous experience working within manufacturing, warehouse, logistics, retail or ecommerce will be an advantage
