Job Description
Are you an experienced Management Accountant who would like to gain further skills within a group finance role?
We have an opportunity to join a family run, well established business within Ashford Kent, working on a hybrid basis.
Position: Management Accountant
Location: Ashford – Hybrid Role (Monday – Friday)
Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 (dependant on experience)
Job Type: Permanent
The Role:
- Within the role of Management Accountant, you will be responsible for producing monthly Profit and Loss accounts from the information within the accounting system and checking of information imported from third parties.
- You will assist with yearly budgets and half year budgets along with VAT returns, ensuring meeting monthly deadlines.
- There will also be a requirement to make analytical reviews of Profit/Loss to ensure all costs are included.
- Produce P11D’s for each individual company they are responsible for, for all employees including amendments during the year along with an annual year end audit file.
- Produce monthly accounts, P&L and Balance Sheets for management
- Monthly liaison with Head of Finance, Managers for each branch/company in their responsibility
- P11D’s and annual benefits in relation to the tax year-end and changes during the year.
- Produce quarterly VAT return
- Produce monthly PAYE payment
- Yearly budgets for each company and assist with half yearly budget
- Produce year end audit file to include draft statutory financial statements
- General Admin, including ad hoc queries, liaising with other companies
- Review sales ledger balances at month end with credit control and MD for potential bad debts
- Review of purchase ledger for discrepancies and liaising with purchase ledger staff to sort out queries
- Review of Payroll reports for error/discrepancies and liaising with payroll/branch staff to sort out queries.
Requirements:
Experience within a similar role.
Good experience using Accounting Software Packages.
Qualified (AAT) – Desirable
The post holder will be friendly, energetic and efficient with the ability to achieve.
In addition, it would suit a person who is self-confident, enthusiastic, of a positive disposition, active, alert, flexible and able to work both as a team and on their own.
