Maintenance Engineer

Salary: £44,724 per year

Main Purpose of Role

To maintain and repair plant and machinery.

Responsibilities:

* Rectify mechanical breakdowns on plant and machinery

* Diagnose and rectify electrical faults on plant and machinery

* Assis with installation and commissioning of new plant and machinery

* Regular servicing as part of preventative maintenance program on all plant and machinery

* Daily and weekly checks on water system

* Complete daily timesheet and all associated paperwork

* General housekeeping in all work areas

Candidate requirements/qualifications:

* Physical fitness and a keen team player

* Good written and verbal communication skills

* Ability to work using own initiative with minimum supervision

* City and Guilds 236 parts 1 & 2

* Electrical and mechanical experience – 17th Edition Electrical

* Previous maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment

* Fault finding and diagnostic skills

* Ability to work rotating days and nights

* Punctuality at work

* Knowledge of PLCs and control systems

* Welding and fabrication skills

* Licence to operate a forklift truck or side loader desirable

This is a full-time permanent role with a salary up to £44,724per annum + benefits

Rotating 4 on 4 off shift pattern days and nights 7.00am – 7.00pm and 7.00pm to 7.00am
