Salary – Basic £30,000 – £33,600(overtime OTE circa £35,000 – £40,000)

The Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the effective and continuous operation of equipment and machinery throughout our clients manufacturing process. The Maintenance Engineer will be Electrically Qualified with a strong Mechanical Engineering background. The role will cover all of the equipment used within the manufacturing process from lathes / milling machines, 4 axis CNC machines, through to their most advanced 6 axis CNC machines. The role of the Maintenance Engineer will also be to support the manufacturing function to ensure all essential work is carried out and to create pre-planned maintenance schedule to ensure machinery is kept to optimal operational standards

Responsibilities
• Designing maintenance strategies, procedures and methods.
• Planning and scheduling planned and unplanned work.
• Diagnosing breakdown problems.
• Liaising with Machine Operators.
• Controlling maintenance tools, stores and equipment.
• Monitoring and controlling maintenance costs.
• Dealing with emergency and unplanned problems and repairs.
• Writing maintenance strategies to help with installation and commissioning guidelines.

Experiences and Qualifications
• Apprentice or HNC Qualified in Electrical Engineering
• Experience or Knowledge of Mechanical Engineering
• Good practical and Technical skills
• Communication skills
• An understanding of engineering drawings and principles
• The ability to work quickly and under pressure
• The ability to manage a varied workload
• Good problem-solving skills
• The initiative to work on your own or as part of a team
• An awareness of health and safety legislation
• Can Do Attitude
