Shift: Days, Monday-Friday (on call so some weekend work may be required)

The role:

We are seeking a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer with an electrical bias to join our clients growing team. Due to new projects and recent growth a new opportunity has arisen to join an innovative business in the recycling sector. You will be responsible for the running of the waste site and reprocessing plant. You will oversee routine maintenance electrical and mechanical and arrange equipment repair or replacements if required.

You will be responsible to the Production Manager but you must be able to communicate at all levels internally and externally.

Responsibilities:

· Routine maintenance work and respond to equipment faults or failures
· Design and document maintenance strategies, procedures and methods
· Diagnose and record breakdown incidents
· Deal with emergencies maintenance needs
· Order and install new parts and ensure all equipment is working correctly
· Carry out quality inspections on jobs
· Arrange specialist procurement of fixtures, fittings or components
· Manage and control maintenance tools, stores, and equipment
· Monitor and control maintenance costs
· Improve health and safety policies and procedures
· Work with specialist equipment, such as programmable logic controllers (PLC), which control machinery on the factory production lines
· Document maintenance strategies to help with installation and commissioning guidelines
· Ensure there is continuous cover of the machinery and equipment in the event of breakdowns
