Our Process Control & Automation Department at Tata Steel Strip Product UK’s Port Talbot site provides Process Control and Automation services to the Strip UK Hub, which must be achieved through efficient practices and processes, whilst focusing on safe operations.

An opportunity has become available within the department for a Process Control Technician. As a member of a team of six technicians you will report directly to the Process Control Maintenance Engineer. This role primarily exists to carry out routine maintenance, calibration, repairs or installation of a diverse range of engineering services such as Radio & Radio Control systems, Gas Calibration, Weighing Systems, Radiation detection and Quality assurance.

The jobholder will preferably be educated to HNC standard in a relevant engineering discipline. You will possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills. The successful candidate will have a sound knowledge of Tata working systems, such as Health and safety systems. SAP Maintenance based system
