Machine Operatives

Salary: £26,000 per year

These are genuine temp to perm opportunities for the right candidates to join a long-established and expanding local business. The roles will involve working in a timber panel processing operation and are based at Sherburn in Elmet, LS25

The available roles will ultimately follow a shift pattern 6-2/2-10 Monday to Friday alternating weekly with some overtime available. Candidates should have a keen attention to detail and be able to work to high standards. We are looking to recruit the following to join our teams:

General Operatives

This role will involve supporting the operatives in the running of the machinery. Experience of a similar environment would be an advantage but is not essential as full training will be given.

* Starting wage of £26,000 per year plus shifts allowance £5.00 per shift (equivalent £26,000 per year) with overtime paid x 1.5 of basic rate and x2 on Sundays

Trainee Machine Operatives

The ideal candidate would have some experience in a similar environment that includes automated machine operation and product quality inspection but this is not essential as full training will be given. For the right candidates there is a true path of progression to become a fully trained machine operative. These roles can be working at pace whilst ensuring accuracy and high standards are met.

* Starting wage of £26,000 per year Plus shifts allowance of £5.00 per shift (equivalent £26,000 per year) with overtime paid at 1.5 of basic rate per hour and x2 on Sundays

For the right candidates there may be an opportunity to undertake an in-house FLT license.

It is important that you are able to get to the site independently as the local transport links do not support shift work.
