Machine Operator
Location: Newark
Salary: £27,600 – £30,000
Hours: 39 hours per week, 8.00am – 4.30 pm Mon-Thurs, 8.00am – 3.30pm Friday
We are currently looking for a Machine Operator to join a busy engineering company in the Newark area. Due to location, you will need to drive and have your own transport.
The duties of Machine operator will include:
- Loading raw materials into the CNC machine
- Choosing and loading the correct cutting tools for the job
- Adjusting machine settings to the desired product specifications
- Troubleshooting issues during the manufacturing process
- Completing quality control tests during the manufacturing stage and on the final product
- Cleaning and maintaining the machine
The ideal candidate for the role of Machine operator will have previous experience within an engineering environment as well as:
- Strong attention to detail
- Good general engineering experience required
- Some experience of CNC machining is desirable but not essential as full training will be given
- Would suit an ambitious person with some engineering experience of turning and milling machine operation
- Ability to work independently and closely follow directions
- A positive and professional attitude
