An established machine operator in cylindrical grinding is urgently required for a long standing materials / engineering organisation. This SME manufacturer which is in a very specialised sector. They complete lots of bespoke work for a variety of industries petro-chemical to automotive and motorsport. (Small batches less than 100, but very specialised).

Key Responsibilities

As a machine operator you will have experience in:

* Use cylindrical grinders, surface grinders – essential

* Use tip maker

* Use a honer

* Liaise with customers on NCRs, concessions and any minor issues that arise during manufacture.

* Manual lathe operator (desirable)

Qualifications and Skills

* Engineering / production background or mechanically minded – desirable

* Must have used cylindrical grinders on a regular basis

* Production or manufacturing experience within an R&D, manufacturing, metals, automotive

* Understanding of measuring equipment, CMMs, (Desirable )

* Good communication skills

* Able to work on their own and part of a team

* Self-motivated and well organised.

* Pays attention to detail.

* Enjoys the challenge of a production environment.

Full Time. Working Hours;39 hours a week 7.30 am – 4pm Mon- Thurs and

7.30am – 3pm Friday
