Machine Assembly Fitter

We are looking for a machine assembly fitter to work within a busy heavy plant manufacturing warehouse.

Your duties will be:

– To effectively communicate technical instruction, provide on the job training and assign and direct the work activities to correct employees
– Read and understand schematics, operation, service and safety manuals, including schematic symbols and engineering drawings
– Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair and/or overhaul electronic, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and mechanical systems
– Inspect, test, adjust, repair, replace, rebuild and overhaul vehicle equipment, assemblies, sub- assemblies, and related equipment, machinery and tools
– Provide support to Truck Mount Line Operators with engine speed control programming
– Provide support to all assembly areas for electrical fault diagnostics
– Liaise between Operators, Production Support Engineers and the Electrical Design Team to address and rectify any faults or issues raised.
– To undertake clerical and office duties
– To carry out duties in accordance with statutory guidance, financial regulations and company procedures
– Ensure that all Health and Safety Instructions are followed
