Our client near Lincoln is looking for a Logistics Labourer/Driver to begin in the New Year on an initial full time 1 month basis looking to take onto a Fixed Term Contract following.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that inventory is received, stored and distributed in accordance with current procedures, in support of the client’s customer’s requirements.
A valid UK driving license, relevant warehouse experience and passport are ESSENTIAL for this role.
Main responsibilities of the role
” Drive company vehicles
” Load and unload vehicles (may involve heavy lifting)
” Unload incoming inventory from vehicles
” Operate RTITB Multiway reach Truck License Forklift
” Operate material handling equipment
” Locate inventory into correct locations
” Pick, process and distribute spares requisitions
” Ensure all customer requirements are understood and dealt with as efficiently as possible
” Maintain good communications with all relevant stakeholders, internal and external
” Report any issues to Team Leader in a timely manner
” Understand and contribute to ensuring departmental and company targets are met
” Adhere to all Health & Safety guidelines and Quality responsibilities
” Adhere to all procedures and processes
” Adhere to all relevant MOD procedures
” Ensure the work areas are kept in a clean and tidy condition
” As business needs dictate, the post holder may be required to undertake additional duties of a level commensurate with their existing responsibility
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach and move about the facility. The environmental characteristic for this position is a warehouse setting. Candidates should be able to adapt to a traditional warehouse environment and must be able to lift and carry inventory to comply with Health at Work standards.
Hours: Monday-Thursday: 8am-4.45pm, Friday:8am-3.45pm
Salary: £26,000per year
