What does this Live in Care Assistant job involve?

Hours of Work: Live in position 2 weeks on 2 weeks off

Southwell care provides person-centred care 24/7 on a daily basis.

Some of the duties are not limited to but may include

  • Personal care and continence care
  • Shopping
  • Catheter/Stoma care
  • Peg-feeding
  • Assisting with walking and transfers
  • Use of equipment such as hoists
  • Preparing meals
  • Safety and falling prevention
  • Medication
  • Days out
  • Assisting with feeding
  • Companionship
  • Promoting independence

Am I the right person for this Live in Care Assistant job?

  • All our care assistants are empathetic and compassionate by nature and have a passion to care for people.
  • Ability to listen to individuals’ concerns allowing empowerment and independence.
  • Experience is preferred however full training can be provided.
