Light Vehicle Technician Apprenticeship

Border Cars are currently looking to recruit a Light Vehicle Technician Apprentice to join the team based in Dumfries, Scotland. This is an exciting role with first-class training and outstanding long-term career prospects.

Duties will include:

• Working alongside qualified Kia Technicians with the investigation, repair and service of vehicles
• Producing estimates
• Carrying out diagnostics
• Warranty work
• Assisting with MOT’s on Kia vehicles
• Other general technical duties and general housekeeping
• Good customer service skills/ability to liaise at all levels

Upon successful completion of your IMI Level 2 qualification which takes the first 2 years to complete, you will be re-assessed with a view to progressing onto working towards your IMI Level 3 which should take approximately 1 further year.

Please note that this is a full-time Apprenticeship and will also include ‘block release’ training at the Kia Training Centre in Nottingham.

Working hours: This is a full-time apprenticeship and you must be available Monday to Friday with occasional Saturdays.
