LGV 1 Driver

Salary: £14.4 – £15 per hour

We currently have a great opportunity for an experienced LGV 1 Driver to join a highly successful and leading manufacturer based in Essex.

As LGV 1 Driver you will be reporting directly to the Transport Manager and your key responsibilities within this role will include:

* Loading and delivery of machinery and parts to internal and external customers in a timely and professional manner

* Delivering to locations across the East Anglian and South East region

To be successful in the role of LGV 1 Driver you will possess the following qualities:

* This position will be paired with combine trailer therefore experience with full rear steer trailers and wide loads is essential

* HGV Class 1 clean driving license

* Experience of wide loads, STGO and use with escort vehicles

* A valid driver CPC is essential

* Lorry Loader crane certificate desirable – Equivalent to ALLMI cert, Cat 2 c+e (over 20tn hook with remote control)

* Agricultural, Construction, Machinery haulage experience would be highly desirable

* Forklift truck licence desirable but not essential as training can be provided

* Excellent customer service skills with both internal staff and external customers

* Well presented, as a customer facing role

* Administratively organized

* Flexible to support other transport positions

This position is based in Essex and is easily commutable from: Braintree, Chelmsford, Basildon, Colchester and Harlow.
