As a Principal Industrial Engineer you will have the opportunity to pro-actively engage in activities such as:
Own technical aspects of products related to production
Line support
Performance analysis and improvement
Ability to resolve significant % of product issues on shop floor
Responsible for line design / layout, tooling, capacity analysis, modelling/simulation
Responsible for process equipment and establishing and maintaining process capability
Support to MRBs, FRBs, failure investigations
Router adherence and maintenance, planning updates
Plan, organise and communicate the team’s workload (over a short term period) to ensure adherence to internal customer’s time, cost and quality requirements
Participating in continuous improvement activities to develop skills and competencies within Industrial Engineering and wider IPT
Take an active role and/or lead role, in implementing continuous improvement activities/ changes, across area of responsibility, to ensure efficiency can be optimised on the wider Business.
Providing design, and maintenance of processes, to ensure successful delivery / transfer to production.
Promoting a culture of best practice sharing and knowledge exploitation and ensure manufacturing process is best practice
Design manufacturing solutions taking into account all requirements such as product quality, safety, reliability and testability
Undertake IPT project tasks covered by a statement of work, detailing input, processes and output together with cost/timescale constraints to ensure delivery of project objectives
