Ledger Manager

Salary: £36,000 – £42,000 per year

This growing manufacturing organisation are looking for an experienced Ledger Manager to join their team. This role will be fully office based with the occasional travel to other sites.

Ledger Manager – About The Role

In this role you will be managing a team of 4 and will be reporting into the Financial Controller. Furthermore, you will be required to report into the senior finance team on a regular basis as well as supporting other members within the finance team. Your key responsibilities will be: 

• Carrying out month end procedures and prepare reconciliations at month & year end. 
• Provide reviews as and when for other members of the team to maintain the sales & purchase ledger. 
• Provide weekly reviews with the credit controller to maintain cash collection. 
• Post cash received on the system and provide daily cash figures to senior management. 
• Checking payment runs raised and entering them onto the banking system for approval. 
• Working closely with the purchasing department to process invoices on the purchase ledger. 
• Maintain computer and manual filing systems in compliance with the data protection act. 
• Identifying key areas where cost savings can be made and reporting them into senior finance.
• Contributing to Finance team meetings and supporting other members of the team. 

The successful Ledger Manager will have

• Previous experience in a similar position. 
• Experience in managing a team. 
• Experience within a manufacturing organisation is desirable. 
• Excellent communication skills.
