A wonderful Primary school, located in the centre of Camden is looking for a dedicated and experienced Learning Support Assistant to join their passionate and enthusiastic team within a KS2 class to begin in September. The school has excellent transport links, located on several bus routes and a 5-10minute walk from the London Underground. The school is based within a popular residential area within Camden, close to the hustle and bustle of central London with a diverse catchment area offering an excellent opportunity of supporting a variety of children from various backgrounds and with various needs. Due to this, the school supports EAL and SEN pupils at all levels and leads in all areas of education as confirmed by its ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted grade.

Your new role
As a KS2 LSA you will be required to work on a one to one basis supporting a child with mild Learning Difficulties. You will work closely with the SENDCo to formulate an effective and structured timetable for the child, work towards targets and you will report on the child’s progress, assist the child with their academic abilities and ensure that the child is comfortable within their learning environment. You will be working closely with the UK National Curriculum and various intervention plans alongside the SENDCo and other dedicated SEN support staff.

What you’ll need to succeed
We are looking for a motivated graduate who has had recent experience supporting children within a similar role. The school prides itself on the support and development it offers to staff and so is keen to support people who are hoping to begin their PGCE in the future, therefore it would be greatly beneficial if this was something you planned on undertaking.
