Lead Valve Technician & Trainer

Our client based in Corby have and immediate requirement for a Lead Technician & Trainer.

Position Overview:

Assemble Components to ensure high quality parts are produced in a timely fashion.

Essential Job Functions:
•Lead a small team
•Pick and assemble components to ensure high quality parts are produced in a timely fashion.
•Must assemble and test all components & parts as per written instructions.
•Must seal and paint components, as per directed.
•Must complete required quality control documents as per customer orders.
•May include testing and final prep of various product lines within the assembly team.
•Must maintain a clean and orderly work area.
•Processes requests for items, pulls and assembles kits for shipping, prepares and packs items for shipment. Performs all shipping functions.
•Pack components using proper packaging techniques.
•Include shipping marks created and attached to all required crates.
•Aware of ISO procedures in respected area of responsibility.
•Conduct training on the practical aspects of 2600, 2700 & 3800 series assembly & testing to new hire trainee technicians and customer’s technicians.
(Full training will be given)

Education Requirements:
•5 GCSE / GCE
•ONC in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
•Time served or equivalent experience
•Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar environment

Physical Requirements:
•Lifting, pushing, pulling 50lbs.
•Standing
•Sitting

Other Skills/Abilities:
•Flexible, self-motivated, good interpersonal skills, and ability to work well in a team environment.
•Well organised
•PC skills are a plus.
•Counterbalance FLT License preferred
•Must be willing/ able to work overtime & weekends as business needs require.
•Willing to travel as business needs require.
