If you do, we want to hear from you as we have an exciting Lead Scientist (Method Development) within our growing Development Science team.
⭐This role is based at our main office based in the BB18 location on the border of North Yorkshire and Lancashire.
Main Purpose of job
As a Lead Scientist, you will be an accountable scientific consultant within the Development Science team. The Development Science team will be a collection of Subject Matter Experts (SME’s) covering scientific capabilities across the global regulatory ENDS markets.
The role of Lead Scientist is responsible for utilising business resources to lead rapid validated learning in the disruptive ENDS market.
The role requires sound commercial acumen, responsible for taking informed risks and making rapid business decisions.
* You will Provide scientific consultancy to support commercial sales and marketing activities, write scientific publications / speak at events on specific areas of scientific expertise and innovations aligned with marketing activities.
* Have responsibility as primary Technical / Scientific Relationship Manager for a portfolio of key clients, arranging and attending client visits and review meetings.
* The ability to work effectively and efficiently both within regulated environments, and take accountability for analysing and validating scientific data, interpreting, and communicating hypotheses effectively.
* Comply with the instructions given in test methods/study plans etc. It is important in this role you liaise with internal laboratory operations and R&D scientists to schedule testing slots to meet project / client deadlines.
Key person specification
* Graduate of Science, Chemistry or Analytical Chemistry related subject (PhD is desirable).
* Experience (5 plus years) of working in a regulated science and/or research analytical laboratory environment. An appropriate PhD is considered within this experience.
* Experience of analytical method development and validation in appropriate techniques is considered desirable.
* Proven ability in technical writing and communications.
* Proven self-learner.
* Can demonstrate business / commercial acumen.
* Proven project management skills.
* Can demonstrate drive and motivation.
