Salary: £54,000 – £60,000 per year

We are delighted to be working on behalf of this industry leading and award winning Operator within the ever booming UK based holiday sector. As the Lead Compliance and Safety Business Partner you will be required to lead the safety management system, in every aspect of safety compliance and to be an expert in facilities safety inclusive of construction and refurbishment. This role is responsible for delivering safe environments for everyone by encouraging and implementing an appropriate risk + compliance mind-set and ways of working.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the expertise for facilities safety on site, inclusive of gas, electricity, fire, asbestos, erosion, contractor management, moving and siting etc along with construction and refurbishment of buildings.
* Lead the safety management system on site, inclusive of sports and leisure, food safety etc. Delivery of an in house risk + compliance support to the businesses as needed.
* Work closely with the project team to support them in implementing new initiatives from a H&S and Risk perspective
* Lead the safety management system for offices.
* Assessment of accident + incident trends across the business and development of solutions to drive low numbers of accidents and low in risk.
* To produce new policies, risk assessments + associated documentation as required and review company health + safety management systems annually.
* To develop and deliver the risk + compliance audit programme
* To review and revise safety training across the business and work with our training + IT teams on new and innovative ways to ensure we stay complaint and trail blazing with an active + robust safety culture
* Demonstrate effective mentoring + coaching skills to others in the business and to mentor + guide direct reports.
Person Specification:
* Educated to a high level in a health and safety or environmental health subject; NEBOSH Diploma or NVQ level 5 in Occupational Health + Safety. A member of IOSH would be an advantage
* Experience managing compliance and safety within a multifaceted organisation ideally within the leisure industry
* Good knowledge of health + safety and the implementation of a robust safety culture across a fast moving and restless operation
* Has the passion + enthusiasm to help create an appreciation for the need for a safe working environment
* Is able to dynamically assess risks on new projects
* Ability to travel around the UK
* Can demonstrate evidence of being well planned and organised with good follow up and delivery
