Your role is part of our Health and Disability function. We transform how DWP deliver services that ensure people with a health condition or disability get the support they need.

 

You will be part of our Senior Leadership Team. You’ll work closely with our Deputy Director to push forward the enablers that allow teams across Health and Disability to deliver robust and secure services to millions of claimants.

 

You will manage competing priorities, drive forward change and innovation, work across DWP to grow the digital maturity of our organisation.

 

About you.

 

We need a talented Product Manager who is not just all about the Front End to ‘take the reins’ across a broad range of products – adapting to changing requirements and setting standards.

 

You’re as passionate about people as you are about products. Here you will lead teams to define, design and deliver your vision and realise the value for all our users.

 

We need someone who can switch codes quickly.

 

Today you are making priority calls on user research for the user-facing elements. and tomorrow you’ll make a decision balancing technical debt with a new feature for the back-end which impacts multiple teams.

 

You can develop product strategy and meaningful, value-driven roadmaps that guide your teams and your stakeholders.

 

Essential criteria:

 

Apply if you have:

 

  • Experience of creating and communicating a product vision and roadmap, getting stakeholder buy in
  • Worked with user researchers to identify user needs and represented the user in all product choices
  • Made effective choices based on incomplete information using a range of suitable techniques
  • Prioritised backlogs based on user needs, value and effort
  • Experience of working with a range of specialists in multidisciplinary teams, applying an agile methodology and mindset in a complex environment to enable incremental delivery
  • Experience in managing technology based product teams and an understanding of areas such as Continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and cloud infrastructure.

You’ll join us based at our brilliant digital hub based in either Birmingham, Blackpool, Leeds, Manchester, Newcastle or Sheffield.
