Laser Production Operator

Salary: £14.4 per hour

LASER PRODUCTION OPERATOR

FULL TIME PERMANENT
UP TO £14.4 PER HOUR DOE

THE ROLE

* Preparing and operating Amada Laser machine to manufacture required components in line with production schedules

* Correctly operating machines to manufacture component parts for production to required quality standards in accordance with work instructions provided.

* Supervising the machines whilst they execute the tasks and make any necessary adjustments

* Inspecting and measuring finished product

* Checking and maintaining cut quality

* Identifying material types and checking the raw material stock level

* Selecting correct programs and setting machine parameters to ensure optimal performance of the equipment

* Completing daily safety checks to ensure machinery and work equipment is in good working order

* Responsible for day-to-day maintenance and care of any equipment and MHE which may be allocated

* When requested, off load goods into warehouse and ensure ‘goods-in’ procedure is adhered to at all times

* Ensure compliance and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

* Previous experience of setting and operating CNC machinery. i.e., laser, router, plasma or similar

* Ability to read and understand manufacturing drawings

* Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines

* Excellent communication and numeracy skills and strong attention to detail

* Experience of working within the fabrication industry and knowledge of Radan software would be desirable

* An FLT Reach and Counterbalance licence would be advantageous but is not essential
