We have an exciting opportunity for a Facilities & Site Services Manager to join the friendly team at our Hellaby site.  As our Facilities & Site Services Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the factory facilities and services operate safely and effectively. You’ll work closely with colleagues across manufacturing and production, Health and Safety, engineering, and supply chain to ensure the site maximizes its production capacity and any impact to services is minimized.

As Facilities & Site Services Manager, some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading a team of Engineering team members to achieve all engineering targets and objectives set by the Site
  • Engineering Manager
  • Responsible for all site service and building maintenance on site
  • Accountability for all buildings and site services against clearly defined KPIs with a specific responsibility for developing direct / indirect reporting layers
  • Delivery of short to medium term engineering plan to enable the factory to control its cost base with variable plant utilization
  • Participation in the development and execution of continuous improvement vision and strategy
  • Actively facilitating the delivery of a bottom-up team development improvement process
  • Ensuring company and statutory regulations and guidelines are followed, ensuring electrical site standard
  • compliance is adhered to, as defined by the Site Electrical duty holder
  • Managing contractor control both daily and at weekends with reference to inductions, risk assessments and method statements
  • Participating, representing site, and ensuring success during audits
  • Co-ordinating between inside user departments and outside suppliers to ensure correct inspections / service contracts are properly executed on time
  • Working hours

The working hours for the role are 40 hours per week Monday to Friday 8am – 4pm.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience in the FMCG manufacturing industry is highly desirable
  • Specific knowledge of best practice maintenance on engineering services equipment
  • Ability to lead and manage a team
  • Excellent communication skills combined with logical problem-solving skills
  • Enthusiasm, commitment, and the drive to succeed
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Experience with Liquid Nitrogen systems, LEV, Energy management and Thermal Oil systems
  • Knowledge of LOLER, Zurich and Legionella Management
  • Working knowledge or certification of a lean approach is desirable
  • NEBOSH or IOSH qualification would be advantageous
