JOB DETAILS
Department: Human Resources
Reports to: Head of HR Built Environment
Hours of Work: 40 per week (Mon – Fri 8:00AM – 5:00PM)
Type of Contract: Fixed Term – 12 Months

 

JOB SUMMARY
The purpose of this job is to support the Head of HR for Built Environment in providing a comprehensive, professional and customer focused HR service to all levels of staff, ensuring good HR practice across Keltbray.

 

JOB CONTENT
Responsibilities:

  • Providing advice and assistance to management and staff on HR policies, procedures and legislation.
  • Contribute to the development, implementation and monitoring of internal policies, guidelines and processes which provide an effective, consistent and timely delivery of the HR services.
  • Reviewing and updating job descriptions.
  • Monitoring key HR metrics, such as turnover and retention rates for your stakeholder group.
  • Coordinating the performance review process for your stakeholder group.
  • Providing advice and support to line manager’s on performance management, disciplinary & grievance matters.
  • Dealing with various HR queries for your allocated stakeholder group.
  • Acting as the point of contact for hiring managers, employees and other HR team members.

PERSON SPECIFICATION
Essential:

  • Experince in HR Advisory.
  •  Strong administration background with a track record for implementing new processes.
  • A passion for delivering high quality customer service and has an understanding of HR’s role in determining the employee experience.
  • Knowledge and understanding of employment legislation/employment law, principles, policies and procedures.
  • Building strong relationships with management teams.
  • Process driven but able to be flexible and not afraid to use common sense.
  • A solution seeker; technical and pragmatic.
  • An understanding of confidentiality and an ability to use discretion.
  • Outstanding organisational skills with an ability to manage multiple tasks and be reactive to changing priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to communicate with a diverse client group.
  • Excellent Microsoft skills including Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Experience using HR database systems.
  • Calm and resilient.
  • A team player who ‘mucks in’.

Desirable:

CIPD Level 5 or 7
