CAD Technician / Project Administrator

IDEC is a part of the Keltbray family, and they Design, Assemble, Install and Commission High Voltage Protection and Control systems. Due to expansion, they are looking for a new team member who can support with the technical drawings along with the Administration needed for their projects. The successful candidates can either be based in their Stockton-on-Tees or Wakefield office.

Duties and Responsibilities.

Guided by our engineering team the successful candidate will be required to produce technical, bespoke drawings.
Handle all documentation at all points in the project lifecycle is essential both outward and inward, to meet the business needs.
Overall control and recording of document status is a key part of this role, creating transmittals and updating drawing registers.
Organise drawings and document packages, and issue efficiently both in paper and electronic format to allow works to be completed both Internal (workshop) and at site.
Provide administrative support to the engineers in relation to project related tasks.
Skills and Experience.

• Knowledge of AutoCAD / CAD Qualification or practical experience.
• Previous experience with document control.
• Experience in a project support role within an engineering function.
• The ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office: Powerpoint, Word and Excel etc.
• Ability to build a rapport and engagement with other parts of the business.
• Proactive in role and with learning new skills.
