The Opportunity:

Junior Material / Operations Manager (FMCG / Manufacturing) required to be based out of Runcorn. The Junior Material / Operations Manager (FMCG / Manufacturing) represents an outstanding opportunity to come in to a world leading, multinational organisation and shape their future with real progression, training and longevity in the role.

This role is ideal for a strong candidate who is degree educated (or equivalent) with some commercial experience who is looking to really develop their career with this maybe their 2nd or 3rd role after graduation.

The Role:

The Junior Material / Operations Manager (FMCG / Manufacturing) is to represent a varied and challenging role across different parts of the business. The role will start as a Materials Manager and you will be in charge of the inventory available, the man management of your team (you will manage 12 people although management experience is not absolutely essential) as well as looking to take the company to the “next level”. You will use your analytical and data manipulation skills to make sure production, supply chain, MRP system and the warehouse all run smoothly.

* Use analytical skills to keep constant inventory and materials available across the plant
* Manage team of 12 (management experience not absolutely essential, but the capability to is)
* Look to implement new ideas and processes to take company to “next level”
* Lean knowledge would be beneficial – Kanban, 5S, Poka Yoke

The Person:

For the Junior Material / Operations Manager (FMCG / Manufacturing),we are fairly open to background as it is the person we are looking for. You must be degree educated (or equivalent), ideally in an engineering, manufacturing or supply chain discipline and have some commercial experience. Again, this may be in food, FMCG, supply chain, lean, engineering etc but you MUST have excellent analytical and data skills and worked around the management of materials ideally in some capacity.
