Excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated Junior Estimator based in the Croydon area.
Our client is an established contractor with an excellent reputation, they deliver a large number of loft conversion projects across London and the South East and are rapidly expanding.
They are seeking a Junior Estimator who will work alongside the Project Manager, preparing estimates/quotations for their new and existing clients.
Your main tasks within this role are:
* Preparing tender documents and issue statements/quotations for new and existing clients.
* Evaluating tender documents and making recommendations.
* Attending pre-contract meetings as and when required.
* Negotiating prices with key suppliers and clients.
* Providing accurate forecasting of project timelines.
* Building relationships with architects, clients and suppliers.
* Understand and interpret construction plans, drawings, take measurements and calculate areas.
The ideal candidate must have previous experience within the building and loft industry as well as a good understanding of construction principles.

Experience required:
* Previous experience within estimations or surveying within construction.
* Proven experience working on site within the building or loft conversion industry is essential.
* Good understanding of construction processes, i.e. Health & Safety.
* Good understanding of construction plans and administration.
* Full UK driving licence.
* Excellent communication and numeracy skills.
* Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.
