Junior Communications Executive

Salary: £150 – £168 per day

Rose Recruitment are working in partnership with our exclusive client to source for an enthusiastic, keen to learn, ready to get stuck in Junior Communications Executive to join their team.

THE ROLE

Supporting the communications manager, we’re looking for a motivated and energetic person who can use their initiative to add real value by supporting our small team. We’re very busy so you’ll need to think on your feet and be a self-starter. We will support you every step of the way, but we will not babysit you!

We mean it when we say that no two days will be the same. You’ll be involved in:

* Producing content e.g. social media posts, feature articles, case studies and award entries

* Preparing social media imagery/videos/animations using Canva

* Posting and scheduling social content on CoSchedule – planning ahead as well as reactive

* Researching for content, trends and business insights

* Analysing digital metrics and preparing reports for clients

* Updating our project management plan on Monday.com

* Coordinating projects to make sure they’re delivered on-time, on-scope and within budget

* Establishing and maintaining relationships with clients, colleagues and associates

This is a full-time position and is primarily working from home. There will be an opportunity to get out and about to meet clients and have coffee and scones with regular team meetings, so being based in the North East of Scotland is advantageous to this role.

ABOUT YOU

Are you a curious, caring and competent communicator?

Curious – are you a nosey parker? By looking at a scenario through a different lens you will create engaging and creative content that will inspire audiences.

Caring – we know that a good work/life fit is important and that this often a juggling act. If you’ll need to be on top of your ‘to do’ list to manage expectations and never miss a deadline.

Competent – a qualification in a related subject would be nice, but it’s definitely not a deal breaker. This role will require you to write engaging content for a variety of clients in numerous genres (blogs, technical articles, social media posts) so you need to be a confident and capable writer… we will not be correcting school girl/boy grammatical errors! A keen eye for detail and a creative flair is a must, and it would be ideal if you had basic experience of Canva and video editing, or if you don’t, you’d be very keen to learn. You must be confident on the phone (and more recently Zoom!) and be happy to roll your sleeves up to get stuck in with administrative tasks.
