Java Developer

Salary: £60,000 per year

I am working with a globally based IT/Technology provider who is looking to add a Remote Java Developer Team Lead to their Software Development team.

The role will be 95% remote based, with 4/5 times per month visits to their Leeds based offices.

In this role you will become part of the growing software development team, and be key to developing the next evolution of one of their own custom-built core sales applications.

You will not only be responsible for writing your own code, but also in guiding and builgin out a team of professional software developers.

As the head of a small team, you will also be working closely with the Head of software development to ensure that any development is aligned within the product roadmap, and encouraged to recommend and promote the right technologies, architectural patters and software development practices.

To be considered for this role, you will need:

Requirements:

* A very strong technical background with extensive knowledge of Java, PHP, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS and SQL Sever

* You will have expertise within DevOps tooling and cloud infrastructure management (Azure or AWS)

* Experience in an environment of continuous integration and delivery

* Strong knowledge of Agile Methodologies

* Experience working directly on business critical applications

* Excellent communication skills and experience of stakeholder management and conflict resolution

* A strategic mindset

* Confident but approachable, you will need to demonstrate and ability to clearly communicate across multi-functions

* Desirable:

* Experience with additional programming languages like Node, Angular, etc

* Experience setting up and using micro services

* Knowledge of system administration (ideally Linux)

* Experience working on CRM and/or sales applications

* Experience managing and leading technical teams with responsibility for planning, recruitment, career development and coaching

In return my client is offering a basic package of up to £60,000all necessary equipment to work on a remote basis, but must be willing to commute several times a month to their Leeds office, and the opportunity for real growth and progression throughout the business.
