The company has a need for Java Developers in locations across the UK Role Java developers will work on client facing projects for across our Government and Public Sector Businesses potentially on client site. Developers should be able to work in both waterfall and Agile teams and to perform end to end development activities including unit testing and to support test teams and ultimately production systems. Essential Skills – Experience of greenfield and brownfield development using Java – Good interpersonal and communication skills – Experience in automated unit testing tools such as JUnit – Use of lightweight frameworks such as Spring, Hibernate – Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently – Recognised accreditation in Java or similar Object Oriented Language – SC Cleared or clearable to SC level Desirable skills – Experience of working with major consultancy in a client facing role – Specific domain expertise in Government or Public Sector Projects – Use of development tools such as SVN, Trac, Maven/Jenkins – Accreditation in Agile techniques
