Salary: £30,000 – £36,000 per year

We are delighted to be supporting our client to find their next IT Systems Engineer. The role is Midlands based and predominantly in Derby, although there may be opportunities to go further afield.

Day to day roles and responsibilities of I.T Systems Engineer will include:
• Providing customers with remote technical support
• Visiting customer sites to complete IT service requests
• Ensuring all actions are logged and managed via the IT helpdesk
• Prioritising and managing your own workload to ensure the most effective customer service is provided
• Proactively monitoring, error logging, fault tracking and problem management to ensure optimum service availability
• Managing fundamental IT processes such as starter/leaver, asset tracking and service provisioning
Required attributes or experience should include:
• 1 to 3 years’ experience in an IT role
• Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle
• Great communication/customer service skills both verbally and written
• Excellent attention to detail
• Good logic and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work well under pressure both autonomously and as part of a team
• Genuine interest in IT
Desirable attributes or experience:
• 1st line or 2nd line IT support experience
• Networking experience with an understanding of WAN/LAN/WLAN, routing, NAT, network diagnostics
• Windows Server (2019/2016/2012 R2/2012/2008 R2) experience with an understanding of DHCP, DNS, Group Policy, RRAS
• Exchange Server (2016/2013/2010)
• Office 365

Starting salary to be based upon experience, circa £30,000 – £36,000per annum.
