IT Support Technician

Band 5 IT Technician (£14.5 per hour, AWR Post 12-Weeks – £13.06 per hour)

Lifeline Personnel, a Supplier of Administrative & Clerical Staff to a centrally located NHS Foundation Trust, are looking to recruit a Band 5 IT Technician for one of their South-East London sites.

You will be responsible for providing an IT technical support service via their Assistive Communication Service department, which itself provides specialist multi-disciplinary therapy service for children and adults with complex communication disabilities.

Within the Assistive Communication team, you will be expected to:

*Possess a background in IT and have good organisation, people / communication skills.
*Organise the storage of large amounts of new equipment.
*Update the equipment inventory
*Install and update communication software on electronic devices, e.g. tablets, laptops and PCs.
*Trouble-shoot software problems and develop links with providers
*Prepare new devices for the therapy team.
*Work with the clinical team to develop new operating procedures
*Conduct software / equipment review clinics with clients.

You will possess IT support experience (preferably within the NHS sector), high level IT and communication skills as well as the ability to learn quickly. A basic induction will be given for the software that is used.
