IT Support Engineer
Job Description
My client is looking for a 1st / 2nd Line Support Engineer to join their innovative internal IT Team based in Crowborough. This position is ideal for someone who has previously worked in an IT Support role and is able to demonstrate excellent troubleshooting and customer service abilities.
Successful candidates can expect to gain considerable technical experience in an organisation that offers training opportunities to support your career goals. This organisation spent half a million pounds last year on new IT infrastructure and has some great projects that even the juniors can manage and see to completion.
In this role, you will:
- Respond to 1st/2nd Line support issues and escalate to 3rd Line engineers when required
- Provide technical support and assistance to clients on-site and remotely when needed
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues
- Take calls from internal customers and log IT issues via the Service Desk
- Maintain hardware and software applications
- Provide support and guidance to 1st Line support team
Skills required:
- Previous experience working in an IT Support position.
- Knowledge of Windows Operating Systems
- Knowledge of application support with SQL
- Experience with Office 365, Exchange and Active Directory
- Excellent troubleshooting abilities
- Able to work well as part of a team and encourage others
- Ability to work well under-pressure and prioritize workloads in a fast-paced environment
