My client is currently looking for an Investment Administrator to join their team in Bolton.

Role purpose

  • To ensure all asset data is captured and processed accurately and in accordance with regulatory and business requirements
  • Liaise with Brokers and Investment Managers where necessary to ensure accurate reflection of asset trades in the businesses fund accounting system
  • Adhere to service level agreements, relevant regulations and company policies

Key responsibilities

  • Identify process enhancements, demonstrate and test prior to implementation
  • Prioritise workload to ensure no breaches occur
  • Contribute to establishing full team procedures and controls along with appropriate maintenance and regular reviews
  • Comprehensively monitor inbox and identify items which impact the area, such as trade reports, contract notes, corporate action notices and queries
  • To ensure investment system is updated with new security set ups, trades and corporate actions in line with department guidelines
  • Input new trades into the relevant custodian’s systems ready to be authorised
  • Liaise responsibly with all stakeholders, such as Investment Managers and Brokers, in order to resolve issues

Requirements

Essential skills:

  • Good numerical skills
  • Good attention to detail
  • Accurate data inputting skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to prioritise and work to strict deadlines
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word

Beneficial skills:

  • Understanding of trade capture parameters and processes for assets held in UK collectives
  • Knowledge of the trade settlements process for various assets held in UK collectives covering worldwide markets
  • Knowledge of global markets, asset pricing data and asset data vendors
  • Knowledge of corporate events/corporate actions, including the capture, processing and fund accounting entries in NAV production of UK regulated collectives
  • Knowledge of UK and international market practices

Essential qualifications:

  • 5 GCSE’s grade A-C (must include Mathematics and English)
  • IOC (Investment Operations Certificate) qualification (or willingness to work towards)
