Intervention Handler – Motor Insurance

My client is a leading and expanding motor insurance group who are renowned for their staff reward and recognition, and are in The Times Top 100 Companies to work for. They are currently recruiting for an Intervention Handler within the claims department, to proactively and efficiently handle Third Party Motor Claims within the company’s intervention processes, and therefore contribute to the control of overall claims spend through minimising third party hire and repair costs.

This is a role with a commission structure in place, on top of the annual salary and benefits package on offer.

Key Responsibilities

” Identify claims suitable for pro-active Third Party capture
” Contact all potential claimants, explaining and offer our services in order to aide their claims experience.
” Manage a challenging workload to meet productivity and quality standards and to contribute to the delivery of team targets.
” Ensure fraudulent claims are identified and appropriately referred
” Ensure potential large loss claims are identified and appropriately referred
” Ensure TP intervention claims are proactively managed within the agreed intervention processes

Essential Skills

” Experience of working within a telephone sales environment, ideally within motor insurance.
” Excellent customer service skills
” Excellent administration skills
” Experience in identifying sales opportunities
” Strong PC skills to include Excel and Word

Desirable Skills

” Motor Claims Handling experience
” Awareness of intervention processes, Credit hire principles and benefits
” Awareness of motor fraud indicators
” Understanding of basic liability principles and apportionment
