Internal Sales Within Engineering

Salary: £38,400 – £48,000 per year

The role requires knowledge of engineering consumables and excellent customer service skills.

Working on an Internal Sales desk the duties will include:-

* Liaising, and building strong working relations with clients

* Providing product information to include pricing and stock availabilityetc

* Prompt follow-up on customer enquiries not immediately resolved

* Utilise IT system to accurately identify, source and price items; to accurately record enquiries and orders, invoices and other documentation

* Undertake ad hoc purchasing tasks, including placing orders with suppliers

* Work with management/colleagues to identify improvements to services and products

* Resolve customer invoice queries, liaising with accounts team and other colleagues as appropriate

* Sales and purchasing admin support including accurate filing and retrieval of documentation

* To undertake other similar or associated duties as may be assigned to you

Skills & Requirements

* Desire to succeed in a sales environment/previous experience of achievement in a similar role

* Ideal candidate will have relevant product knowledge of engineering consumables

* Willing and able to learn about and support new products

* Proficient in basic computer applications

* Professional level of verbal and written communication skills, as well as good numerical skills

* Customer focused, driven to provide consistently high levels of service
