Job Description

Prospectus is pleased to be partnering with a national charity providing therapy and specialist support and advocacy services to autistic people and people with learning disabilities, who have experienced trauma. They are currently recruiting an Interim Clinical Services Manager to lead their clinical team of psychotherapists through a significant period of change. This position is offered as a 4-month fixed term contract, with the possibility of extension or permanency for the right candidate.

As their Clinical Services Manager you will oversee a team of experienced therapists who provide a range of trauma-informed services to children, young people, adults, and families, and will act as the designated Safeguarding Lead for the organisation. Reporting initially to the Acting CEO and then to the Director of Services, you will work closely with the Senior Leadership Team, and in collaboration with the Advocacy team to ensure services are delivered to agreed organisational objectives and strategy. The charity is currently navigating through a significant period of change with this post playing a crucial role in contributing to the development of the organisation which will involve shaping consistent approaches to implementing, sustaining, and monitoring excellent standards throughout the whole organisation.

To be successful, you will be a strong senior manager with demonstrable experience of leading and developing a portfolio of services delivered to people who are victims of trauma, preferably autistic people, people with learning disabilities or a relevant client group. You will be an experienced leader, with the ability to lead a team of specialist support staff, volunteers, and teams and possess the skills to effectively lead teams through periods of organisational change. This is a crucial role therefore previous experience of working collaboratively with diverse stakeholders across different organisations and sectors is essential, as is knowledge of key legislations including those relating to equal opportunities, adult and child safeguarding, data protection and NHS England’s transforming care programme.
